Scavenger Hunt Sunday - July 1, 2012

If you didn't stop by yesterday, you may notice things are a bit different.  There have definitely been some changes, but I think they'll end up being good for me and the blog.

I really enjoyed this week's prompts.  They were a welcome break after the last couple of weeks, when the prompts made me want to cry/scream/hide in a corner.  This week I have lots of puppy pictures!

Sunset

Here we have young Archie, chilling on the deck during sunset.  After last night's storm, it cooled down a bit, so being outside was actually quite pleasant.  Archie, Spartus and I hung out back there for awhile.

Sweet

This is a picture I actually took last weekend, but I liked it so much that I had to use it.  This is my friend's sweet little baby.  How adorable is he?  He seems to be quietly contemplating the busy-ness of his surroundings (we were at his cousin's birthday party) while resting on his daddy's shoulder.

Hanging Around

From top to bottom - Girly, Sassy, Spartus, Archie
My father-in-law was eating some grapes, so all the dogs decided to hang around in hopes of a dropped grape heading their way.  They're such moochers. (Girly and Sassy are my in-laws' dogs, and Spartus is my sister-in-law's).

Funny Face

I completely lucked out getting this shot.  While we were outside, Spartus apparently had a very bad itch, because he began furiously rolling around on the deck.  This happened mid-roll.  I love the look on his face -- it looks like the perfect mix of determination and terror.

Space

So this isn't the best photo, but I thought it was a more creative interpretation than just taking a picture of the sky (which I totally did, at first, but I don't have the right lens to capture it properly and I thought it was lame).  So instead, I took a picture of the space between the ceiling  fan blades.  If it looks a little fuzzy, that's because the fan was on.  I thought it would be more challenging that way.  Sometimes I like to do things solely for my own amusement.

Actually, that's probably why I do a lot of things.

Linked up with Sarah Halstead this week, because Ashley had her baby!

  1. HEHE. My kiddos are over here sleeping and when I saw that pic of Spartus laid out, scratching his back... well, I laughed out loud. Love the whole set! And again... love the new blog look! You going to be doing some blog design?! Or just your own?

    1. Thank you so much!

I've never thought about doing blog design for others, probably because I know very little about HTML. I suppose I wouldn't be opposed to trying though!

    1. Thanks!

They're like a little pack of stalkers -- it's funny, but kind of sad. They act like nobody feeds them. But I'd rather Archie eat dropped grapes than the things he normally tries to eat (including photographs, dolls and anything else he may find on the ground).

  5. your changes are cool.... but that could be because I like the color green (especially when it's so hot). I'm not very good at taking action shots, so kuddos for the great pics of the dogs. Although you might think your shot (SPACE) is fuzzy, I think it's unique & demonstrates your ability to think outside the box. That's what makes SHS so much fun!
