Easter Mint

Monday, March 25, 2013

I've been obsessed with fashion since I was little, and it seems like Easter in particular is a time when people like to flaunt their style. I wanted to put together a look that had ladylike elegance, but was still on the sassy side.

I'm crazy about mint lately, and when the idea to put together an Easter look came to me, I knew it had to have a mint dress.I found this sweet chiffon number at Target, and just knew it was perfect.

Then, of course, came that age-old question: what shoes? I had planned on going with silver or white until I saw these floral print peep-toe stunners. The watercolor-inspired print is beautiful and vibrant, and loved that there's a hint of mint in there; it keeps the look cohesive without being matchy-matchy.

For many people, Easter just isn't Easter without a hat. And when it comes to Easter hats, my philosophy is go big or go home. And this hat? It's big. The woven detail is beachy, yes, but it also just adds a little extra interest.

Since this look has attention-getting shoes and a massive hat, I figured keeping jewelry simple was the way to go. A cutout cuff is simple, yet adds a little bit of edge. And maybe best of all? It's under five bucks!

What's your favorite piece?

    1. I wish! Unfortunately, it's just an outfit I put together, not one I actually own.

  2. I adore the shoes... I also love that you used brands/stores that everyday people can actually shop at. I hate style posts with $600 dresses. LOL.

    1. Although I occasionally post more expensive pieces (though nothing that expensive!) I try to keep everything reasonable. I certainly can't afford a $600 dress. Heck, I can't buy a $60 dress right now! The economy sucks, so I'm trying to keep it real.
