Summer of Self-ImprovementThursday, May 30, 2013
I don't know about you, but I feel like I've really been slacking in the self-improvement arena. I mean, yeah, I'm okay, but I'm definitely not living up to my potential. I feel like Alex-lite. Since school is out for the summer and I don't nanny every day, I have a lot more time to work on ME. So that's what I'm going to do.
And since I'm sure I'm not the only person who wants to improve herself, I'm giving you guys a chance to join me on my journey of fulfillment and self-discovery (and Pinterest)!
I really want to challenge myself this summer, physically, intellectually, spiritually, socially, and creatively. I want to see a lot of changes in the way my body works, feels, and looks. I want to read more, like I did when I was younger; reading was something I did constantly as a child. I want to take a deeper walk with God, and make meditation a regular thing. I want to meet some new people and get out of the house more. I want to become a better cook, do a lot of DIY projects, finally make our place feel more like a home, and work more on my novel. I want to become a better, more well-rounded person.
In June, of course, I'm hosting the Pinterest Fitness Challenge. We already have some awesome women who have joined the challenge! Don't have a blog? No problem! There are two non-bloggers who have joined via the Facebook group. From June 1-21, we're hoping to create some healthy habits, and become healthier, happier women!
In July, we'll be moving to the Pinterest Cooking Challenge! If you're anything like me, you pin dozens (or hundreds!) of recipes on Pinterest, and get around to cooking...well, none of them (in all actuality, I think I've made five). I'd like to change that! So for the month of July, we'll be making some yummy food :) We'll have a different challenge every week, so feel free to pick and choose which weeks you'd like to participate!
As far as August goes, I'm a little torn, so I thought I'd ask your opinion!
Would you rather participate in an eco-friendly challenge, or a cleaning challenge?
